In Case Of IPhone Fashion

Does your phone match your outfit? Hmm, you have probably, like me, never really thought about your phone that much, or if it goes with your outfit for that matter, but seeing a few really amazing cases recently got me thinking, and if you are really, and I mean REALLY into adding those finishing touches to your wardrobe, then this is exactly the sort of arm candy you are looking for.
Get your hands on those hot hot covers now....literally.

Damien Hirst at the Tate Modern

Engaging in further cultural activity, I have dragged out my friend to see the Damien Hirst exhibition at the Tate Modern.

It being multiple collections in one exhibition, it was rather strange to see a variety of pieces ranging from beautiful to boring to almost disgusting.

One of his most iconic pieces were the shark suspended in formaldehyde, 'The Physically Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living' 1991, his spot and butterfly paintings and the diamond skull, 'For the Love of God', 2007.

My favourite works were the butterfly pieces, which Hirst uses as a symbol of beauty and the inherent fragility of life.
These butterflies are often arranged into complex patterns reminiscent of medieval stained glass church windows or kaleidoscopic mandala-like forms.
I was looking at one of these pieces for probably over 10 minutes, to be able to take in the colours and patterns, and because sharing is caring, below are my favourite snaps ( very unprofessionally taken, so feel free to also google).

Cut Out Skull T-Shirts

Now this is something that I absolutely love because it is easy to DIY it at home!
Seen in various street style edits, it seems that this casual cut-out-shirt look is coming at us fast.
What I would love to see, is somebody combining this trend with pastels or flouro. Maybe that somebody should be me and you, so here the promise that I will upload a picture should I have a go at it.

Dip-Dye Denim Shorts

As the days are getting warmer (where?! , I hear you ask), we have seen more and more super cute dip-dye denim hot pants crop up on the high street.
Now, I am a huge fan of the sort of festival/hippie look so I absolutely love them and got myself - despite the rain and just general polar temperatures - a hot pair of shorts from Zara, and am now waiting even more impatiently than ever for the sun to come out so I can wear them.

Amazing shorts also seen in TopShop and Asos, so check out the picks below... and get the fake tan out :)

Vogue festival 2012

The first ever Vogue festival took place last weekend and with the gorgeous Tom Ford attending and answering question from both Vogue's editor and the audience, it was a must to attend.

Apart from seeing the legend himself, there were the four beautiful models Lily Cole, Jourdan Dunn (who was discovered trying on sunglasses in Primark), Eva Herzigova and Natalia Vodianova in attendance, of which I found Natalia the most charismatic as she was just chatting along, recommending the blood type diet and the book "The power of now".

The highlight however was meeting the stylist and fashion designer Rachel Zoe, as she was leaving and even being able to snap a few pictures of and with (!) her - result!
She flew in from LA specifically for this event and revealed that she hates people judging other celebs on the red carpet and making them feel inadequate a la "fashion police" on e! Entertainment and that her all time fashion inspiration is Bridget Bardot.
A very sweet person I found.

Below a few snaps of the event.

Leather and chain bracelets

Falling in love with the glamour hippy bracelet look!
My favourites are golden chains with neon or multicolour leather woven through it.
The below ones are from H & M but I am currently trying to figure out how to do them yourself as it looks so easy to imitate and don't we all love our one off pieces, nobody else has?!

Spring Pastels

Even though the weather in the past couple of days suggests anything BUT spring time, I have taken the 4 day weekend as an opportunity to buy just about anything pastel in the shops and the mint on mint combo is my absolute favourite!
Shirt and jeans both h&m.
